Waterdrops, Spiders, and Crows…

I had an interesting day of photographing…

First I experimented with waterdrops, making the drops reflective lenses by putting a flower underneath the spiderweb holding the waterdrops.

aperture: ƒ/2.8
shutter: 1/80
iso: 400
lens: EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro
focal length: 50mm

Second, I found a spider making a huge spiderweb around sunset and made sure I captured it with my camera.

aperture: ƒ/5.6 (-0.67 exposure compensation)
shutter: 1/25
iso: 6400
lens: EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
focal length: 300mm

Meanwhile, the crows were making a marvelous ruckus flying around in circles… I just love seeing the crows congregating.

aperture: ƒ/11.0
shutter: 1/200
iso: 1600
lens: EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
focal length: 85mm

I had a great weekend experimenting with various photography equipment, techniques, and subjects. How was your weekend?

Until next time…
